IXL is a site that offers fun, interactive practice for many concepts students are studying in fifth grade. All concepts are aligned with Common Core. Each student is able to monitor their own achievement using individualized charts that allow them to see, at a glance, the skills they have mastered. Teachers are able to track student progress and identify areas of need for all students.
Newsela
This site offers current news articles and current event articles for students. Each article can be read on varying reading levels depending upon the reader.
Kahn Academy
This site provides tutorial video clips on MANY different topics. If a student is struggling with a certain concept, these videos can be very helpful.
