Almost there!!!!

Hello to all of my 5th graders.  I can't believe the school year is almost over.  I am sure you all will be happy not to have to do work anymore.  This will be the last two weeks of assignments you will receive this year.  Yippee--right!!!
Continue to work hard, read carefully, take your time and again, if you need to ask me anything-email me!  I am here for you any time!  Miss you all so much!

FIDs Days 24 thru 29

PLEASE read the directions and information provided for you on each page very carefully.  If you have to reread it a couple times then do so.  I put notes on pages to help break things down for you and to help you through.

For FIDs Days 24-25-26:   (May 5th, 6th, and 7th, 2020)
You will be working on finding the Least Common Denominator (LCD).  This may involve you finding multiples of the denominators in order to find the LCD.  You will be adding and subtracting fractions in these lessons and we all know that in order to add/subtract a fraction, you have to have common denominators.  Take your time!!!

For FIDs Days 27-28-29:  (May 12th, 13th, and 14th, 2020)
You will continue to practice finding the LCD of fractions to add or subtract them and then simplify.  Please refer to FIDs Days 24-25-26 for directions.  FIDs Day 27 you will be adding fractions.  FIDs Day 28 you will be subtracting fractions.  FIDs Day 29 is going to be a review puzzle for you.  You will be adding/subtracting decimals.  This skill is one you don't want to forget about.  It is very important that you remember how to set up the problems and solve.  Pay attention to the words in the cowboy's lasso!  In order to add/subtract decimals, you must LINE the DECIMALS up.  Take your time!!!

Hello 5th Graders!!!

Hello my 5th graders!  I hope all of you are doing well.  I just want to let you know that I miss each and every one of you and think about you all the time.
Please continue to be kind, stay safe, help each other, social distance, and smile.  Oops!  Continue to do your classwork as well.  This school year will be over before you know it.  I can't believe we are in May.  Bring on the SUNSHINE!!!!

Take care and miss you all

FIDs Days 15-16-17

IMPORTANT        IMPORTANT        IMPORTANT

Please be advised!!!!
Anyone who has gone to the school and picked up their packet the week of April 6th-PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS.
THIS IS FOR MATH CLASS ONLY!!

It has been brought to my attention that FIDs Days 15-16-17 pages 63, 70 and 71 worksheets have been printed with missing problems.  I am not quite sure why this has happened, and I am working to fix that situation.  In the meantime, those of you who have the worksheets in hand, just disregard them at this time.  I will continue to work on fixing the problem and will keep you updated on the outcome of these FIDs days.  I will try and get them uploaded to my webpage as soon as possible.  If you are unable to print them from the webpage -no worries-as I will have them included in the next packet that will be prepared for students.  Again, I am so sorry for the confusion and mix-up, but we will get through this together!  Stay stress free, safe and at home!

Take care,
Lori Gamble
